It’s me, Kay.

I remember growing up sitting at the dinner table with meat and 3 veg on my plate questioning dad why we couldn’t just have chips and pies every night for dinner. He said in order to be healthy and strong you must eat all your vegetables and fruit… like I’m talking every. single. floret of broccoli and cauliflower. Looking back I wonder if its something that’s always been sitting in the back of mind because here I am now writing my first post for Wholesome Kay. How crazy?

Hi. I’m Kaelli (kay-leigh) or as my friends call me, Kay. I was born, raised and am currently living in Melbourne, Australia with my parents (Sorry mama + papa, I’m planning on staying for while) two brothers and twin sister. I’m 20 years of young, and love seeking new places and adventures to explore; new foods to try and create; and volunteering time between uni and work to the younger generation, promoting healthy body and food relationships, mental health and active living.. to name just a few of my passions.

Creating a blog has always been a bucket list item for me since I began studying Holistic Medicine two years ago, so I’m very excited to get the hang of things and hopefully also learn a few things along the way from you, too. I’ve already been sharing my meals with the instagram world (@itswholesomekay) so this blog is primarily going to be a space fit for a plant-based lifestyle with recipes, but I aim to also include sections for advice, reviews, features/love links, lifestyle and fitness and a few more similar ideas which I have in mind. If there’s one thing you can always expect, its not-so-good-for-you sweets and treats made healthier, honesty, fun, a friendly space and much much more.

I hope this blog will be of inspiration to you and easy to follow and navigate.
